Winter Wonderland

I am beyond excited for the snow!
Went to Walmart today... BIG MISTAKE!
You would honestly think the world was ending.
It was 2:00 on a work day and there was not an open parking spot there.
Not okay.
Its only a couple inches of snow people
But in Oklahoma a couple inches is a couple of feet for normal states.
Tonight before bed I am going to get my craft box out and ready,
Im going to put "Definitely, Maybe" in the DVD player,
With "Center Stage" open and ready,
And I'm going to look up recipes for a hair treatments and a face masks!
Oh yeah and I have a smidge of homework that needs to be done
But that is last on the list.
Hurry up snow!
Im ready for you to be here!!!

Butterflies

Its a beautiful Friday morning!
And I was just doing the normal browsing on the internet when...
I found the most exciting news!
3 words.
Anthropologie Wedding Line
Ahhhh!
Anthropologie to me is one of those stores you walk in and you are just silent because of how pretty everything is.
It is unveiled February 14
And trust me I will be waking up extra early just to see the prettiness that could be apart of Tim and I's special day!
eeeeeek!
Just the thought gives me butterflies!
If you don't know Anthropologie
I will give you some pictures of the prettiness!
If you are as excited about this as I am then you should go look here.

I could honestly go on and on about this lovely store.
I can only imagine what the wedding line will look like.
I will be dreaming of it.

The Life of a Long Distance Love

I would like to start this blog with the fact that I realize Im the luckiest girl alive.
Period.
Butttttt
Long distance sucks.
There is no better way of putting it
I can't wait for a day when I know in the back of my mind I'm not going to have to pack up and drive 4 hours away from him
Some days I think, man I should enjoy being not married while I can
Because I am about to be in for the long haul
But then I realize that the person that I want to enjoy life with is Tim
And he is 4 hours away.
Im tired of skype kisses.
The end.

I Want To Be An Astronaut

I feel like going through college, and especially senior year
People are always asking the "typical questions"
"What's your major? What do you want to do with your life? etc."
When I was growing up if people asked me what I was going to be
I said "a singer"
I wish I could go back to the days of just wanting to be "a singer"
p.s. I cant sing to save my life, so I was clearly just listening to too many B. Spears CD's
Lately I think I have been going backwards and retracing my steps
Its like, when you go through college and you tell everyone who asks you the career that you are going to be
You start to question if that is honestly what you want to be.
Or if you just wanted to have a perfect lined out answer for the millions of "typical questions" you get in a month.
And I'm pretty much 99% positive I'm in category 2.
So now I have found myself, when people ask "What do you want to do?"
I just say "I dunno"
Awkward silence always follows.
Right now I feel like a little girl
And if I were to honestly tell someone what I wanted to be
The last thing they would take me as is serious.
So here goes...
I want to be
A mom
A wife
A wedding planner
An owner of a cute boutique
 A home decorator
A personal stylist
And the list could go on
But clearly none of those answers have to do with me becoming a counselor at a middle school.
Maybe one of these days I will get back to that answer
But right now I have no clue what I want to do
What I do know though is that I am so fortunate to have to most supportive fiance out there!!
If I told him I wanted to go to the moon, he would say "yeah! you would look great on the moon!"
So,
I guess for right now
While I'm still in school and not knowing
I will keep saying "I dunno"

I'm Just Not the Political Type.

I would like to apologize for not writing this week and most of last.
But its not my fault!
Its stupid IT's fault.
My computers sound wasn't working so I took it in to be fixed...
The guy said "ohhh don't worry this will just take a few hours! It will be ready in the morning!"
So I come back every day for 3 or 4 days and FINALLY its ready.
yeah right.
I try and turn it on and the screen won't turn on.
So I leave it...
For more days.
Then they call and tell me its turning on so its ready.
again.
I take it home.... the screen blacks out on me and its not working again.
So I have this really great speech where I'm going to give them the "Tracy Hart"
(If you know my mom you know that not much goes by her and if you mess with her you get the
 "Tracy Hart")
So anyways I go in and I'm going to tell them that "they better fix my problem that wasn't my problem until they made it or else!"
And what do I do?
The second I start talking...
I start tearing up.
Fail.
Now I understand why they don't want women in the white house
We go in with full intentions of ripping into someone and stickin it to em.
But we end up grabbing our phones trying to hide because we are about to bawl.
I'm sure I'm now the laughing stock of the IT department at Oklahoma Christian.

Before and After!

I would like to say that Tims room was my biggest accomplishment of this week by FAR.

BEFORE:

There are several things that I would like you to notice right now.
1. Bed. He was sleeping with a twin size bed spread and a sleeping bag. NOT OKAY.
2. Curtains? no. towels.
3. Whoever invented GREEN shades is seriously disturbed.
4. Boxes in the corner.

AFTER:

We got the bed spread at Ross for $30!
The curtains and shades added up to about $20!
The rest was things he had lying around that he hadn't used for decorating yet!
Im pretty darn proud of myself for this room!

BEFORE:

AFTER:

Just some cleaning and organizing helped this side out SO much!

I also organized his closet!

BEFORE:

Notice the desk holding the tv,
It was too short so you couldn't watch tv on it.
It is also such a light color wood that it looked just a little weird next to his pretty cherry wood bed.
Also notice the hats piled up in the basket
He LOVES hats.
So why not put them on display?

AFTER:

The woman that lived in this house before Tim left some furniture!
So I went out to the storage and found this dresser that was taller and darker!
Perfection.
And I hung up all of his hats so now he can see everything he has and, I think its pretty cute!

BEFORE:

Now on to his study.
Along with hats, Tim also LOVES his coffee.
And it was a little too cramped on this little side table
Also notice his weights and jump rope in the left corner.

AFTER:

I put that desk that didn't fit in his room in here!
It holds all of his coffee and coffee cups in the drawers perfectly!
I also found a cute container that holds all of our work out stuff in it!

BEFORE:

Now the kitchen!
Dishes, dishes, and moooore dishes!

AFTER:

We had this cute red curtain for the kitchen but just never put it up!
And then I gave the kitchen a good cleaning.
With bleach.
success.

BEFORE:

LAUNDRYYYY

AFTER:

DONE.

BEFORE:

We never really knew what to do with this wall.
until.

AFTER:

Yay! Why not display his jersey!?
I realize that it would look MUCH better in a jersey frame...
But remember. No money.

BEFORE:

Now the living room!
The living room just needed some good cleaning and organizing.
And when Tim first moved in I was planning on making that wall above the TV a cross wall.
But it just never happened and we only ended up with 3.
So it looked kind of funny like that

AFTER:

Fixed the crosses and cleaned.
Much better!

And last but not least the outside!
We found this $90 wreath for....
$18 !!!!!
If you want some christmas stuff for 80% off people GO TO HOBBY LOBBY!
We were TOO happy!
And Tim got himself a new welcome mat!

Well thats all I have in me!
My week of housewife test run went well.
I would like to note also that when I said it wasn't all that it was cracked up to be,
I didn't mean I don't want to be a housewife!
I was just making a point that it is harder than it looks
I can't imagine having kids and trying to take care of a home AND having a job.
Women who do that are super heros in my eyes.
Im talking about my mom when I say that.
I hope that one day I will be able to keep the kind of home that she is able to keep.

Things I NEED.

Tomorrow pictures will be coming of what I did to Tims house this week!
But I would like to start with the fact that being a "housewife" is not all what its cracked up to be.
I mean I worked my butt off.
The whole time Tim was at work I was at work on his house.
So the next time I get a smirk from someone when I tell them I would LOVE to stay at home and work...
I will officially not be a fan of them.
And on top of that decorating with no money...
I think that was the hardest thing for me
I mean there were just some things that we NEEDED...
but what can you do if you don't have any money?
hmm
This has brought to Tim and I's attention that maybe next year I will get a full time job instead of a part timer.
And while I'm doing that I will get my teachings certificate. (mom you won this battle)
Because well, Tim and I (mostly I) have a lot of things that we just NEED.
When I say "need" I really mean "want"...
But I'm sure you already caught on to that.
I wasn't sure when I started writing this how I was going to tie in the housewife trail run with my next subject.
Or should I say the title of the blog post but, it just happened to work.
So from now on I will be doing blog posts randomly of things that I (we) NEED.
You know,
Those things that you just CAN'T live without.
A new dress, a new pair of shoes, new cute curtains.
Yeah those things...
I really enjoy shopping.
Too much. (hence the full time job next year)
So now I'm going to share with you the shopping that I really "need" at that moment.

Housewife Test-Run

So heres the deal.
Im in abilene for the week (Where Tim goes to school and lives)
And Timmy boy will be working well about every day this week.
Which leads me to either a lot of time wasted on facebook...
or...
giving his house a little facelift :)
It doesn't need much because we already did a lot when he first moved in
But Im thinking it might be fun for me and you to do a little bit of before and after.
This week might give me a little taste of what life could be like as a housewife...
Which to me sounds like the best job out there by the way.
Oh and another thing,
I have about zero dollars to my name.
So Im going to ATTEMPT to make this house even more cute with no money!
Bring it on.
